    Mike Gascoyne

Great day!Proud to announce that Hungarian Sailor Gabor Moro joins with MGI for Class 40 ProgramMGI are pleased to announce that experienced Hungarian sailor Gabor Moro has selected MGI to organize his offshore short handed training and racing program in their state of the art Class 40 racing yacht 'Silvi Belle 2'. The yacht, which raced previously as 'Caterham Challenge' will race with the logos of Gabor's company Limelog KFT, one of Hungary's premier logistic and transport service provider companies in the field of special transport.http://www.limelog.hu/indexeng.htmlGabor Moro is an experienced offshore sailor having competed in a leg of the prestigious Clipper Round the World races in 2013 - London - Rio, 2014 - New York - London and also holds a RYA offshore yachtmaster qualification, but now wants to make the step to racing offshore short handed in bespoke racing yachts. The marine arm of MGI was set up to provide exactly this training and racing service to people like Gabor, and is a step that MGI founder and CEO Mike Gascoyne made himself several years ago. Having taken a break from running teams, including the pit wall and race strategy after 25 years in F1, Mike trained and completed a solo Transat in a Class 40 in 2012, before commissioning and building Silvi Belle 2 and racing successfully with multiple world record holder Brian Thomson in the 2013 Transat Jacques Vabre. Based on that experience, and convinced that there are many amateur sailors who have achieved success in their own careers, but also harbour dreams of stepping up and racing short handed offshore in major races, and need a route to achieve their dream, Mike set up the marine devision of MGI with the aim of providing exactly that service. Gabor is the first sailor to sign up to a program that will see him training and racing in 2015, leading up to the major challenges of the TJV in 2017 and the solo Route de Rhum in 2018.Mike Gascoyne commented, 'It is great to have Gabor on board with us and a privilege that he has trusted us with his sailing and racing program. We have a busy program for the summer and I and the whole team look forward to sailing with Gabor.'Gabor will start training in May and is aiming to compete in the les Sables/Horta/ Les Sables and Fastnet races in 2015 with Mike Gascoyne in between his busy training program.Meanwhile Silvi Belle 2 is undergoing a complete refit in Caen under the watchful eye of project manager Josh Hall, who oversaw the original build. The boat will be commissioned and return to the UK by the 1st May for final preparation for the summer program.www.mgiconsultancy.com
